A surgical experience of Benign Pancreatic Disease

Abstract
|
|
|
19 patients with benign pancreatic disease during 3 years from September 1990 to september 1993 were received surgical treatment in Busan Medical Center and the results were reviewed retrospectively.
@ES The results are as follows :
@EN 1) This report includes 5 cases of severe(hemorrhagic 1 cases and necrotizing 4 cases) acute pancreatitis, 8 cases of pancreatic inury, 3 cases of pancreatic pseudocyst, 3 cases of chronic pancreatic pseudocyst, 3 cases of chronic
pancreatitis.
2) The most common etiology of benign pancreatic disease except pancreatic injury was alcohol induced.
3) 5 cases of severe acute pancreatitis were represented with more than 4 of Ranson's prognostic factors and the surgical methods were external drainage with debridment or necrosectomy and the results were all favorable except 1 cases of death
which
had more than 6 of Ranson's prognostic factor.
4) The etiology of pancreatic injury were blunt abdominal trauma in 7 cases and surgical complication in 1 case. The sites of injury were head in 3 cases, body in 3 cases and tail in 1 cases. The operative methods were drainage(all cases),
distal
pancreatectomy(3 cases), triple ostomy(1 cases) and pancreaticoduodenectomy(1 case).
5) The sites of pancreatic pseudocysts were body in 2 cases, head in 1 case and operative methods were as follows.
excision in 1 case, external drainage in 1 case and cystojejunosomy in 1 case.
6) 3 cases of the chronic pancreatitis were diagnosed by intraoperative finding.
